Summary: This story deal with settlement in the northern areas of Canada. It is a true account of pioneering in the bush country of Manitoba, north of 53. Tom Lamb the author’s father, came to Canada from Yorkshire in 1891. In northern Manitoba he met and married a girl from Portsmouth, they raised 11 children. It is a heart-warming story of their trials, tears and happiness and their struggle to make a living in the wilds of unsettled land.
Condition: Hard cover, covers show light wear, Dust wrapper is worn, torn and soiled. Text is pulling slightly and spine seam is starting to crack near center. Also a printing flaw occurred on several pages near the back – the ink printed very light but it can be read. Overall a good copy.
