"White Reflections On Black Power" by Charles E. Fager - softcover book published by William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company in 1967 - 118 pages - book measures 5.25" x 8" - original price $1.65 -

Synopsis: "This provocative new book explores the meaning of a new and yet fully articulated concept. The author addresses himself, in this brief essay, to the whites in this country who are seriously concerned with our turbulent racial situation. After describing what are the major elements of the 'Black Power' concept, Mr. Fager goes on to consider the responses to it by both white and Negro critics. Disturbingly perhaps, he finds the concept not only legitimate, but sweeping in its implications and decisive for the future role of the white liberal in the Negro struggle. Written by a white person trying honestly to face current social problems, WHITE REFLECTIONS ON BLACK POWER challenges not only the white's view of black people, but the white's view of himself."

About the author: "Chuck Fager is a writer, editor, and peace activist. He has published in a variety of genres: journalism, historical research, fiction, and poetry. His special interests have been in the 1960s civil rights movement; religion, especially Quakerism (The Society of Friends); and movements to end wars, and war. His work has been recognized for a a clear, absorbing narrative style."
