This is a new assembly line left-over. It has never even been inserted in a radio. It is an original Kia part, not a knock-off. It is the 2018 update version 5.X. (Which is VERY hard to find, other than through a dealer, for $375+!!)
Make sure this is the version you need! Seriously!! We're the radio guys. We wouldn't say it if it wasn't important. There's more to a part working for you than having your vehicle on a basic year, make, model list. EVERY part offered on a given model is on a list like that. Not just the parts on your vehicle, as equipped. Trim lines and options affect which part your vehicle needs. Electronics, which obviously have to work in conjunction with other parts in the car, are especially important to match up!
It is NOT for hybrid vehicles.
APPLICATIONS
This was offered in the 2018 Optima non-hybrid cars. It might possibly work in the 2016-2017 too, but that research would be up to you. See it listed for your year and model doesn't mean it fits EVERY vehicle of that year or model. Make sure this is the part number you need by checking with your dealer!! They made different versions for different years and equipment options. The Compatibility and Application Lists are just a starting point and should not trump the obvious need for common sense and basic research. Part number DOES matter!
