Two piece cabinet with base. Base has drawer for linens and storage.
Split center doors with beveled glass border. Door has locking latch. Four wood shelves, Shelving is adjustable. Back wall is Bead board which was replaced at later date, original back boards were kept and placed over bead board on backside. both sides of doors are decorated with walnut burl on the flats.
Piece has nice lines, not overly large, can fit into a smaller dining room or hall. Because of its size and not over the top details, this sideboard goes well in a contemporary interior as a eclectic piece or a traditional setting as well. This piece did have a crest on the top of the cabinet. The crest is long gone. Mostly likely because the crest made the piece too tall to fit into a contemporary room with lowered ceilings. The flat cab. top is a great place for plates, sculptures and antique items for display.
Condition is good. It is showing some light wear in the form of nicks and very small scratches. Base has some small chips and nicks due to the fact that it is the base and subject to bumps from wear and cleaning.
This cabinet can be also used as a bookcase or any kind of display cabinet.
