Vintage Cabochon Black Stone Earrings By Designer Celebrity!
They measure approx. 2 1/8"L x 1 1/8"W, Dangle Style with a Goldtone Setting. In very good condition. One of the Black Stones has a tiny chip on the bottom, not noticeable. Still very nice! Each Earring is signed CELEBRITY. Circa 1950's/60's. Designer CELEBRITY Jewelry is Very Hard To Find.

The company made costume jewelry from the late 1950's through 1970's. It did business under the home party plan, and went out of business in the mid to late 1970's. In the 70's when jewelry was dainty and not worn as much with the clothing of the times a lot of Costume Jewelry manufactures closed up shop. They were based in New York, NY. and produced a fairly expensive line of costume jewelry, it was not cheap and it was not made to compete with the less expensive lines of costume jewelry. Most all the jewelry produced by them was of fine quality and this was done by using sets of very good quality and very good silver, gold and rhodium plate on their items.
