fordite wrapped in sterling silver
This Fordite pendant is handmade. It is wrapped in Sterling Silver wire. The pendant will come with a cotton gift cord, so that it is wearable right out of the box. The pendant will also come with a card that tells about the stone.
About the stone:
Fordite also known as Motor Agate, is a layered automotive paint that
was made years ago, by the practice of hand spray-painting cars in
big automotive factories.
The over sprayed paint gradually built up on the tracks over time. These
layers were hardened repeatedly in the ovens, some of the deeper layers
were even baked 100 times. Once cut into gemstones these layers produce
a stunning man-made gemstone.
