Solid wood cutting board made out of Black Cherry.
15''x12''x1''
Personalize it with your own letters. choose where you want them oriented with respect to the board.
Your cutting board is made of Pennsylvania Black Cherry, a very rare wood to find these days, and very beautiful. You will not find the deepest reds that Black Cherry offers in any other wood grown in the USA like the ones found in your board.
In order to maintain this beauty, each time after use, wash briskly under water and soap. Be sure to dry your cutting board with a towel of some sort as soon as you can. After washing and using it several times, you will want to use a food grade mineral oil that can be found at your local pharmacy. To add a new coat of protective oil finish, simply apply with a paper towel and a moderate amount of oil (enough to coat the board front and back, respectively).
When using your board, be sure to use straight blade knives as opposed serrated knives. The serrated edges will dig in much deeper than a straight blade will, and at the same time damage the surface of the board more than you would care for.
This board is not dishwasher safe. Do not let your kitchen board sit soaked in the sink for a long period of time. Exposure to water for long lengths of time is the ultimate enemy when it comes to any wood. As long as you wet it, then dry it as soon as you can, you will have a kitchen board for years to come.
