This is a Vintage Sterling Silver Vanity Set - 2 piece - Mirror & Comb from the 1930's by Saart Bros.!
Beautiful American made sterling silver vanity set, produced by the Saart Bros. of Attleboro, MA during the 1930's era.
In addition to all the detailed perimeter designs, both the mirror and the comb have a fancy cartouche in the center with the initial, "S", in lovely elaborate calligraphy. The overall condition of both pieces is very fine and well kept. Although they have been loved and used, they have not been abused at all.
The backsides are hallmarked with the appropriate Saart Bros. insignia and the word sterling. The original beveled mirror has a quality clear reflection and is very acceptable and clear.
The decorative details are simply graceful and inviting. This elongated hand mirror measures approx. 13 inches in length by 4 inches wide across the top and has an eloquent shape. The tapered viewing surface is approximately 3½ wide by 6 inches long. The comb measures 7" long by 1.25" wide. Overall, they are wonderful and very useful vanity accessories.
Sterling could use a detailed polishing upon receipt. Each piece was inspected, cleaned and lightly polished when listed.
Secondhand pieces may contain minor markings/imperfections throughout.
