StopLik is a unique, immediate, simple, effective and safe means of discouraging pets from licking and from removing bandages during healing, allowing open sores to be more successfully treated.
It is a plastic band that wraps around a bandage or wound and delivers a mild electric stimulus to the tongue (about 1/200 of a small static electricity shock) when the pet licks it. The electrical stimulus is applied only at the point of contact where the animal's tongue or muzzle touches the conductive ink on the StopLik strip.
No electrical current passes through the animal's body and therefore there is no risk to the animal.
Can be trimmed to any length.
StopLik is powered by small electric cells similar to watch batteries that last for 5-7 days depending on environmental conditions.
