This enables the stand to withstand the weight of several layers of cakes without the fear of buckling when it is used properly. The top surface size is 12 inch diameter and stand height is about 4.25 inch. It is plated with expensive nickel metal to give a durable and glittering silver-look finish that will last for years under normal usage conditions. But unlike silver, nickel plating is 100% tarnish-free so you do not have to clean with silver polish again.
