Vintage Lantern Light Fixture Nautical Brass Atlas Glass Marine Boat Ship Lamp

Vintage Brass and Glass Lantern. This is a pre-owned item that shows signs of age and use. There are scuffs, scrapes, marks and oxidation present. It's also a bit dusty/dirty. The brass is not solid and shows patina, oxidation and scratches as evident in the pictures. Heavy scratches are evident on the top and the hanging ring is slightly bent. The hardware for the side bars shows surface rust. The lantern top unscrews easily. There is a hole in the top of the lid which can be used to install a small lamp kit. The glass has a red tint to it which may wash out. The glass is barrel shaped and has the Hazel Atlas makers mark. The mark was used from 1923-1964. I'm unable to date the piece any further. This small lantern is a great restoration project or rustic lighting project.Love the item but not the price?
