this is a new Gibson-TKL combination lock that is correct for the mid 90's-on Brown/Pink Gibson cases....for many of the factory models including Super 400, L5, es175, SG, Les Paul Standard, Chet Atkins, and many others. This is not just a replacement...it is the identical OEM unit that TKL and Gibson use on their cases! Factory installation instructions are provided.

Lock drops into the old space with no mods.* (see notes below). Comes with 6 split rivets for a pro-looking installation.

If your case combination was lost and you then had to break into the case, this is your chance to restore your case to factory original. Hard to find part and I am told they are no longer available.

Reagrading installation and fit: * This is the exact lock used on many newer TKL cases. On cases from some years in the 90's, I have found some of the original locks to be 1/8th inch longer than this new one. The new one will still work as a good replacement on those cases; the only thing that may be visible is a slight crease in the tolex made by your original lock; two of the holes may have to be adjusted; I have placed many locks in those cases with excellent results. TKL no longer makes or sells the older style lock so this is the best option and, again, it works fine. You can call me if you have questions about your installation process.
