Biography:
John Byle (1928- ) studied art at Olivet College in 1946, but didn t graduate until 1966. After WWII he left the United States for Israel, even though he was not Jewish. With the goal of building a new world, his idealism inspired much of his art as well. He moved to Tel Aviv and began teaching art. Byle s works have been exhibited widely, including at the Israel Museum, The Tel Aviv Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
