The Cord-Pod is an inexpensive and versatile camera accessory that is perfect for photographers of all skill levels. Constructed as an old-time "string pod" or "string tripod", it is also known as a "backpacker’s tripod" because it is so light and stuffs into the smallest pocket.
The Cord-Pod will work with any camera that uses the common 1/4-20 threaded tripod mount, including point-and-shoot cameras, pocket travel zooms, larger non-interchangeable superzooms, DSLR and mirrorless cameras. It will also work with a GoPro, iPhone or other device with a tripod mount adapter.
If you have shaky hands or are taking long zoom shots >16x, SLR at 200mm+, panoramas or movie clips, the Cord-Pod will greatly improve the quality and sharpness of your images and remove video jitter like you wouldn't believe and make panning smoooooth.
The Cord-Pod is a modern, easy to use implementation of a classic design. The operation is simple: connect Cord-Pod to your camera’s tripod mount, place the cord loop securely under your foot, use the cord slider to adjust the height for best viewing, apply slight tension to steady the camera and begin taking photos.
For added functionality, if you sit on a bench or in stands at a sporting event, the cord loop can easily be stretched across both feet across your lap and the camera will be at eye level for shooting videos or extreme tele shots. An example is shown of a shore bird taken at 480mm equiv telephoto ....you cannot hand hold at that magnification
