Good Stuff by The B-52s (CD, Jun-1992, Reprise)
UPC: 075992694322
Condition: Good. Complete with artwork. Some scratches and scuffs. Still plays great.
Track Listing:
1. Tell It Like It T-I-S
2. Hot Pants Explosion
3. Good Stuff
4. Revolution Earth
5. Dreamland
6. Is That You Mo-Dean?
7. The World's Green Laughter
8. Vision of a Kiss
9. Breezin'
10. Bad Influence
Following the triumphant COSMIC THING, the B-52s had to contend with the departure of Cindy Wilson. To compensate, they continued to work with producers Don Was and Nile Rogers (why mess with a sure thing?) and brought in many extra players and singers. It says something about Wilson's importance that up to five background singers are utilized on "Tell it Like it T-I-S." In Wilson's absence, Fred Schneider and Kate Pierson come to the fore. GOOD STUFF is a very respectable follow-up. Highlights include the riotous "Hot Pants Explosion" and the enjoyable single "Good Stuff." "Revolution Earth" is a beautiful slow burner with an Indian feel. Schneider abandons his usual style to sing respectably on the disco-flavored "Dreamland." "Is that You Mo-Dean" fills GOOD STUFF's obligatory sci-fi quota and features "The Mo-Dean Intergalactic Choir" on the huge chorus. "The World's Green Laughter" is a rainforest-inspired instrumental. "Vision of a Kiss" evidences a move toward less cynical or humorous love songs. GOOD STUFF is a recommended addition to any B-52s collection.
