  • Description
Offered is a widescreen extended version copy of James Cameron's 1989 Sci-Fi, Adventure thriller, THE ABYSS, Ed Harris and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, along with a special feature, The Making of THE ABYSS. In color, stereo sound with closed captions, 171 minutes, from 1993 with a restored 28 minutes not shown in the original release, on 2 discs. From rottentomatoes.com: The utterly gorgeous special effects frequently overshadow the fact that The Abyss is also a totally gripping, claustrophobic thriller, complete with an interesting crew of characters.

The discs look fine to me, though I don't have a player to test them on. The front lower corner of the front cover has been banged, and there is an abrasion to the lower spine. Other than that, light shelf wear, especially along the lower edge where a little of the paper is rubbed away, along with some light scratches to the paper surfaces.

Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for considering this laserdisc!
