From December 14th through 31st, 1993, the San Francisco Ballet, under the artistic direction of Helgi Tomasson, performed NUTCRACKER at San Francisco's War Memorial Opera House. This ballet was presented with Lew Christensen's original choreography, with additional choreography and staging by William Christensen and Helgi Tomasson, scenery and costumes designed by Jose Varona and lighting by David K H Elliott. The poster's credits are hard to determine, though it appears that the art is signed J LoFaro, printing was courtesy of American Express, and the event sponsored by Dayton Hudson on behalf of Mervyn's and Target Stores. The poster is printed on fairly heavy stock 14 3/4" x 27".
This poster is new, never displayed, and has no holes, tears or dirt. Overall, the poster is in very good condition, in my opinion, though there are some dings caused by handling. The lower right corner is a little crumpled as if the poster were dropped on it; the upper edge is not perfect, and there is one heavier ding on the left side, near the cloud at the Nutcracker's elbow (see the image above). A good framer should easily be able to minimize the dings, since most are along the edges. My description is thorough, the poster actually looks fine.
Postage quoted includes a poster tube, by USPS first class mail, with delivery confirmation. If the buyer wants to make other arrangements about the shipping materials or rates, please send an email. I am willing to combine shipping on a case-by-case basis, on purchases made within an agreed period of time.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for considering this poster!
