I.P.E.U. 119? Ice Cream or Parfait type design metal printing block letterpress
Howdy Folks,
Hope all is well.
Up for your viewing pleasure is a printing block. The picture is of an ice cream type of glass so maybe a parfait? There is a mark on the face of the block and it is the I P E U mark with a number 119? There is some dried red ink that did not wash quickly so that will need more elbow work. Also some white specks on the block maybe corrosion? On the back of the block looks like some type of glue? or something of that nature and maybe dried caulk? There again I did not put much effort into cleaning it. No other marks. Since it is a used printing block there could be some scratches and scuffs and nicks. I used some soap and water with a soft brush to clean it up a little, however they will need to be cleaned better. Remember that it is used and will need a better cleaning. Folks please refer to the pictures for more description. Measures about 5 1/8" x 1 5/8" and about a light 15/16" deep. Folks this piece is heavy so I have to ask 5 bucks for shipping.
Note: some of the pictures I used a flash, so that's why some are so bright and gold looking.
