This is a daring idea that I think really works! Just feast your eyes on this delightful deco cushion. It’s been created using an authentic 1930s dinner serviette. Over 50 years old but you'd never know it.
The cushion itself is made from a modern fabric, an excellent quality 100% cotton in a neutral shade that’s quite firm.
To decide upon the design, I explored the pattern in the serviette and then strategically folded and positioned it to create a fan shape which I think is totally in keeping with the era from which the napkin originates. The folds have been machine stitched into place. A gorgeous green vintage bias binding has been applied to accentuate the movement in the design. Fortunately I found four matching napkins that appeared to be unused and so have been able to make four identical cushions. This listing is for all 4 cushion covers, each finished with an invisible zip for easy removal of inner pad. (Pads not included)
These would look stunning on a plain background of almost any colour, white, black, red, yellow, navy. Do you have an empty space where they can stretch out?

PS Please note that vintage fabrics are used in my designs. Although every effort is taken to use only pristine materials, they will never be ‘new’ in the way that today’s fabrics are but they do have a rich history, and are full of intrigue and delight!
