These two U.S. stamps are part of a block-of-four commemorating the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. They were designed by Robert Peak of Scottsdale, Arizona, who also designed the U.S. stamps and stationary items honoring the upcoming 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. His previous philatelic credits include the 1969 football commemorative and the auto racing embossed envelope.
