Surley is a squirrel with an attitude problem. His personality eventually gets him kicked out of his home in a nice park and he must learn to live by his wits in the city. While in the city, he discovers Maury's Nut Store. He soon concocts a plan to steal from the store to get enough food to not only last him the winter, but also enough for his squirrel friends back in the park in an attempt to get his home in the park back.
