bird on a wire

This is an encaustic painting of a bird out on the telephone wire above my home. It is 6 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" tall, nicely framed in fir with mitered edges.

I pack each painting very carefully in bubble wrap and a sturdy box. The wax is solid due to the resin added to the heating process. So you don't have to worry about it melting! Though, I wouldn't recommend keeping it in the back seat of your car on a hot day...
