This is an aftermarket battery disconnect switch, these are often used in race cars for safety but can also be used in passengers cars as a theft deter ant or to just prevent the battery from getting drained while sitting.
This features 3/8" diameter brass connection lugs, 50 amp rated capacity, the on / off lever is removable so it acts like a safety because you can not turn the switch on without the lever.
