Abacus, pretty old, and original handmade, made of wood and brass.

Don't know the brand or the country of origin, most likely China.

I see many that look like this but this is different in that there is only one brass support rod in the middle. The other ones I see all seem to have two brass rods.
Also the side brass braces are shorter and don't wrap around like the other ones I see online.
All the brass is not shiny new looking like the others.

I tried to show the writing (characters) on the bottom.

There are two beads cracked but still in sturdy condition and they where glued at some point in time. Otherwise the rest is in good working order, nothing is broken.

Matter of fact there are slight finger indent ware marks on the edge from being used a long time.
All I can tell you it must be an early model, and has been used normally, and is authentic, handmade.
