It takes me a good 24 hours to paint them...distress them....let them set...and then seal them.
I discovered these when Rick and I were building our new home and I was searching for red accent colors for my custom kitchen. They were Rick's idea. And quite frankly....I thought he was NUTS when he first mentioned it. But we've had SO MUCH fun with these. They really DO open bottles. And we use them as drawer pulls in our cabin kitchen. Everyone who sees them just looks and smiles. These old style pulls elicit fond memories in just about anyone over the age of 40. And those UNDER that age quickly appreciate it and want some themselves.
They're FUN!
They are NICE....HEAVY Cast Iron pieces! We've done them in an "antiqued Lobster Red" distressed finish. AND they are sealed to protect your finish. AND YES....they DO open bottles!
