My modernized idea of the Marie Antoinette/Rococo style vest. This is a very stiff toile and it is lined in red. Not boned because I wanted you to be able to wear it with jeans and a t-shirt or tank top. It is so pretty! Don't let the mannequin fool you, this is a very low cut and you will need to wear something underneath, very similar in cut to a renaissance vest, but Rococo in style!



Hook and eye closure and the bows are hand stitched over three of the hooks (There are a total of four) so you don't have to lace it up! Stitching is somewhat visible in the back on the bottom (check photo). Seems are not professionally finished, but are zigzagged over edges. They are, however, sewn tight with that finish, so they should be fine for wear. I have pieces that I have had for over fifteen years that have been washed and worn multiple times with this finish. Or, they are easy for you to finish over the zigzag stitch, if you would like extra confidence.
