This 3 sectioned dish is ideal for passing mints and nuts after a holiday dinner. It is a very festive piece with gold spatter around the edges and gold frosting on the pinecones. The cones are 3 dimensional. The needles are handpainted.
The dish is marked on the bottom, Japan. This is 9 inches across and is in near perfect condition. Just the slightest hint of discoloration in the bottoms of the plain and 1 pinecone sections. No chips, cracks or crazing. This piece probably dates from the 1950s when pinecones were a popular motif.
