This is a beautiful Mixed Gold Tibetan style Ohm Mana Pad Mi Hum Thangka Painting from Nepal. I brought it back with me from my last trip there. It has nice detail and the canvas is very clean. Ohm is thought to be the original vibratory sound of the universe and provides a powerful spiritual focal point for the mandala.Ohm Mana Pad Mi Hum is a Tibetal Buddhist Chant to help one connect to the law of the universe.The Mandala is regarded as the most auspicious diagram in both Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. Mandalas were introduced by the preceptors and masters of the philosophy as a medium of worship to attain a better life and help free ones life of all sorts of worldly miseries.Thangka paintings take a long time to make.
