Cucumber Handmade Cold Process Soap
The benefits of cucumber has been known since ancient times. It is known for its natural moisturizing properties which leave your skin feeling fresh and supple. Cucumber can easily penetrate the skin without damaging the cell membranes. It is slightly astringent and clarifying helping to tone the skin giving the appearance of less wrinkles. Due to the mucilage content it can also be soothing and hydrating.
Another reason that makes cucumber extract popular is due to its antioxidant and natural moisturizing properties. Vitamin C which is very important for the skin and it is available in abundant in cucumber. It helps in shielding the skin from pollution due to freely suspended particles in the air. It also has goodness of proteins and other lipids which acts wonderfully as natural skin emollient, making the skin smooth and shiny. The natural astringent present in it rejuvenates and revitalizes the skin. Cucumber is capable of removing dead cells and provides relief in acne outbreaks and skin irritation.
This batch of soap has an entire cucumber in it! But it doesn't stop there. We have also added fresh aloe vera gel to enhance the soothing property of this soap. We prefer to not use any artificial colorings to our soaps, but rather use natural ingredients to give color to it. We added turmeric to half the batch which gives this soap a deeper yellow color. Turmeric not only gives it a unique color, but it has benefits for your skin also.
Tumeric has been used in the eastern part of our world for medicinal purposes for centuries. It has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
**Our soaps are all made using the cold process method. This gives us total control over the ingredients and the quality of the finished product. No chemicals! No artificial colors!
