I have 1 full set left. The vader has some no lift of the decals but an odd clouding? ( only way I know how to put it ) in some edgevareas on upper front and some areas on back. Does not affect art itself. These are incredibly rare. I'm guessing it's calcium. You might be able to decalcify it with a soft warm soak with something, but I'll let the new owner try that.
*****Here we have one of the rarest set of vintage Star Wars burger king glasses ever, the SUPER rare Button Bottom Thin Decal Empire Strikes Back set. Some of you may be asking, what the heck does that mean?? Well for those collectors that don't know, these glasses are very different than the regular set of ESB burger king glasses. These were only available in one state in the U.S. OH, and the huge difference between this set and the regular set available in the rest of the U.S. was that not only are these glasses shaped differently, (the shape of the bottom of the glass is shaped like a button), so there is the button bottom part of it. The thin decal is just as it says. It's the same picture of the character as the regular set available characters, but the pictures are thinner decals, and would not hold up as well if washed hardly. These pictures were not stamped on the glass like the normal set. I would never call any of these type to be mint because of how old they are, but I doubt you'd ever find better! What most also don't know until they get them is that the back of each glass is also different. (Closer pics provided of major differences). Compare them to the regular set and you'll see the great differences.
The regular sets have a description surrounded in a blue pattern, while the button bottom thin decal versions have a nice white text with character descriptions surrounded by a white lined pattern, like they used on the cardbacks of star wars figures. If you look at the back of these, you'll see the square outline around the lettering on the back of the glasses! Each one describes specific character(s) on the back, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, C3PO-R2D2 & Lando Calrissian! These are very cool!!!!
The fronts of these glasses are some of the best I have ever seen, decals are not worn away, appear to be in superb shape! (Note the droids glass picture of the front, they did not make a straight line across the bottom of the picture so it looks jagged, it is supposed to look like that, compare it to the regular version and you'll see the same.)
Notice the last picture where my own set is displayed in a showcase with the original general set behind them, you can also see these are smaller in size than the generic set!
As with all of these thin decal glasses, the lettering/bordering on the back doesn't hold up as well as the front pictures, as here and there a few small parts of letters, etc may have fallen/rubbed off from handling/storage. This is very common with these glasses, and does not affect the displayability of these glasses since you want to show the fronts anyways.
They have never been used, and I usually clean all glasses before shipping but with these, I'll leave it to the new owner, don't want to take the chance of damaging the decals.
These are incredibly hard to find in this condition and would be the perfect addition to anyones Star Wars collection!!!
Short of finding a prototype glass, this is it, and you get FOUR glasses, not just one!
The 2nd & 3rd pictures are from the regular set and only for comparison differences, and are not included in this listing!
The colors are clean and very nice. This particular set is a holy grail of Star Wars glasses, very very hard to find, especially a full set!*****

Some of the unique things you can find on these glasses can include but are not limited to (mostly pertains to vintage glasses); minor scratches, waviness in the glass in areas, a bump on the rim somewhere, grooves in the glass in no particular pattern, striation type marks that can resemble scratches in an upwards/downwards pattern that are in a straight line, spread out tiny dots of colors that were used on this glass in areas they shouldn't be in, like in the yellow moon series glasses for example or the appearance of bubbles under the graphics, which could be glue adhesive, other manufacturing blemishes not mentioned. Any collectors of these glasses know exactly what I mean when I say to find a perfect one of these is a difficult task.
We clean these glasses using a mild solution and inspect for damages, and off they go to someone who will appreciate them as much as we do our own ever growing collection!
Now with these items in mind, you are looking at a great glass with great graphics, & no cracks or chips. It is in unsurpassed condition for glasses of this old.
