Interestingly, McCoy, the hero of this thrilling Western rides without a holster.

THE PLOT : The Rancho Hernandez holds promise of great wealth, which attracts the attention of gambler Ace Morgan (Wheeler Oakman) and his partner Amos Harden (J. Frank Glendon) . Together they plot to grab the ranch from Don Hernandez (Joseph W. Girard) by forging papers. They also trap his son Jose (Rex Lease) by crediting him large amounts of money, which they promptly win back through crooked gambling deals. Don and his charming daughter Juanita (Luana Walters) have just about resigned themselves to fate when a tall, lean and soft-spoken stranger who calls himself Tim Harrington (Tim McCoy) rides into their lives. Little did the father and daughter realize that their guest was none other than the famous gambler Gentleman Tim Madigan, nor did they know that he had already devised an ingenious plan to save the ranch!

EDITORIAL REVIEW : The highly success duo of Sam Newfield and Tim McCoy team up together once more to bring western movie buffs yet another outstanding thriller. Tim McCoy plays a nonconformist, honest card sharp who does not believe in strapping on a holster, and relies on his physical prowess to overcome even the fastest gun in the west.

Centered on the greed of a few men who had all they needed but wished for more and didnt care how they got it, this western is fast paced and keeps you tethered to the screen for over an hour.

Aces and Eights is a story of a Spanish familys struggle to retain their priced ranch and keep it out of the hands of greedy land grabbers. Fortunately, a stranger who carries no gun but moves as fast as lightening comes to their rescue and brings back the lost heir as well.

McCoys skilled handling of the role and a deck of cards are amazing and a treat you must not miss. Witness how the west did not always rely on bullets and six shooters to ensure that justice was meted out in this electrifying western drama, which a2zcds.com has preserved on DVD.

USER REVIEW:

"I remember reading that McCoy was the fastest man on the draw in Hollywood and was amazed to see him toss away the gun in this episode, which is just as thrilling as it would have been if he did carry a six shooter. Tims rare magnetism carries the plot so well that you dont seem to remember any other name except his when the lights are turned on again. I am a diehard fan Of McCoys and will not miss a single movie of his - regardless of whether he carries a gun or not ! "
