Original Dragon Artwork by Joan Hanke Woods
This is an original drawing created by artist Joan Hanke Woods in 1978 - the title of the piece is “I didn’t do it! It just happened!” and shows a baby dragon lighting a fire under it parent’s tail as it sleeps in a hammock - it is done in India Ink and measures 3.25" by 5.25" - it has no mat. (When I purchased this piece of art at a local science fiction convention it was wrapped in clear acetate and her business card was stapled to the back).
While best known as a fan, Joan Hanke-Woods has worked professionally, illustrating works by Philip José Farmer, Michael Resnick, Theodore Sturgeon, and A. E. van Vogt, among others.
The Artist’s name/copyright has been added to the photo and is NOT on the actual artwork
NO REPRODUCTION RIGHTS ARE GIVEN WITH PURCHASE OF THIS ARTWORK - I am selling it as one collector to another collector.
Condition: good - there are 2 small marks near the top from a staple (but they do not break through the paper), the acetate cover cracked & fell apart so I placed the artwork in a postcard storage sleeve to protect it.
Package will weigh approx. 10 ounces
Combine purchases and save on shipping (based on total package weight)
(I've been doing book searches/mail order for over 40 years and have a very strict grading system.
