Rafa - Healing
I have so many family members that suffer from skin irritations (such as adult acne), that during the course of my studies of herbal benefits, neem & nettle powder were two herbs I HAD to incorporate in a soap.
Calendula flowers were added at to my coconut milk lye solution, so that they could dissolve throughly.
Peppermint Essential Oil is added to both complement and over power the usually medicinal smell of the neem.
Each bar is approximatly 5 -5.8 oz each. Because these bars are homemade in small batches, each bar will have its own unique quality and form.
****Also works as a great shampoo bar as well!!****
Here are some of the many benefits of this bars' ingredients:
**********
NEEM ~
Neem is used widely in India and Africa as an anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, antiseptic, and anti-parasitic agent in soap and skin/hair care products. It is used to treat skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, scabies, syphilitic sores, and chicken pox. Neem oil can be used to get rid of lice and control dandruff. Neem can be used in a foot bath powder to kill fungus and bacteria. Add neem to soap base for an anti-bacterial hand soap.
NETTLE LEAF ~
They are said to be extremely effective in reducing itchiness due to eczema and allergic dermatitis. Can also be used in bath to soothe itchy, irritated skin.
TEA TREE ~
A pale yellowy-green or water-white liquid with a warm, fresh, spicy fragrance. It is mild enough to be applied directly to the skin for insect bites, pimples, scrapes and abrasions. One of the safest yet most powerful oils you can use.
(APPLICATIONS)~ Anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antifungal, antiviral, bactericidal, expectorant.
CALENDULA ~
Calendula provides one of its greatest benefits in relieving eruptive skin disorders such as shingles.
Calendula is also widely recognized as a cleanser for the liver, gallbladder, and other organs.
More recently scientists have investigated calendula for possible anticancer and antiviral actions this herb may possess.
