This is an old and hefty solid brass ewer that is part of a brass collection from India. It is 11" tall and 7 1/2" across, from spout to handle. It has a hammered surface, creating a wonderful impression all over the piece. The lid is secure and opens and closes readily. The hinge on the lid is tight. The ewer has a very nice feel when handled. There are markings engraved on the bottom that says: India and the numbers 706 and 177. No metal polish was used so as to preserve the patina that shows this ewer's age.
