Forget Me Not will grow in all regions of North America and is very easy to establish. Grows in sun or shade and will start to bloom early. These flowers love water and will grow well in almost any wet spot. Extremely easy to grow from seed in early spring or fall after frosts. Very pretty. Perennial, zone 3-9.
Forget me Not’s received their name based on the romantic legend. A medieval knight, gathering blue flowers along a stream for his lady love, was suddenly swept away by flood waters. As he disappeared, he tossed the bouquet to his lady with the immortal words, “Forget me not."
