The coffee industry of Kenya is noted for its cooperative system of production, processing, milling, marketing, and auctioning coffee. The major coffee growing regions in Kenya are the High Plateaus around Mt. Kenya, the Aberdare Range, Kisii, Nyanza, Bungoma, Nakuru and Kericho. The volcanic red soil around Mt Kenya and its acidic soil provide excellent conditions for growing coffee plants.
While it is best known as a type of Kenya coffee, Kenya AA is actually a graded classification of coffee grown in Kenya, grade AA generally being the largest bean.
This coffee is noted for its rich body, pleasant vibrant acidity, fragrant aroma and winy aftertaste with overtones of berries and citrus. We roast this bean to the City Roast level (medium light) to bring out the complex origin flavors of this great coffee bean.
Our Single Origin Beans are just that, beans from a specific origin roasted just right to bring out the unique taste that is known for that particular origin bean.
All roasted coffees are shipped only as whole bean.
