DANT Americana Whisky Bottles (2) - 1968 BOSTON TEA PARTY and 1969 ALAMO
Two bottles from the J. W. Dant Distillery "AMERICANA COLLECTION OF GREAT MOMENTS IN HISTORY". Each bottle originally contained a fifth of Eight-Year-Old 86-Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky (but, alas, they are now empty).
The bottle on the left is cobalt blue and carries a scene from "THE ALAMO", while the one on the right is white and carries a Revolutionary War scene from "THE BOSTON TEA PARTY".
Each bottle is marked on the bottom with its corresponding caption and is embossed on the back with an eagle and shield design. The eagle and shield also appear on the top of the stoppers. The gold-colored neck labels are imprinted with several stars and each bottle carries a small folded tag on a string, describing the series and the specific historical event represented.
Size: Approx. 9" x 4½" x 2½" - 4/5 quart.
Date: 1968 / 1969
Condition: Very good+, I'd say. Both bottles are complete with stoppers, all labels and their descriptive tags. There are no cracks in the glass and I don't see or feel any chips, either. The pictorial labels are in excellent shape with just slight wear in spots along their edges. The side label on the Alamo bottle is in very good shape, with perhaps just some slight "bubbling" under the surface. However, the side label on the Boston Tea Party bottle is rather stained and discolored in the lower right quadrant (see 2nd image, above). The neck labels on both are somewhat worn.
**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
