CONDITION____VERY GOOD +
(Please Note: I am not an experienced bookseller. If are aspects you'd like addressed, please ask me to do so.)
The book is free of all of the following:
Tears, loose or missing pages, page corner folds or creases, spine breaks, soiling, stains, marks/highlights, writing or notations.
Spine is straight, board corners are square with two of which have been bumped, but are not permanently bent.
Some wear to the gilt decoration (see image).
There is an indentation on the front cover (see image), and some superficial scratching on the back cover that you can see when tilted 'just so'.
Very mild page age-toning and minor spine bottom shelf-rubbing wear.
It has mild (what I believe is called) foxing on the top page edges.
Very very light 'tea' stains on the bottom page edges with the book in closed position--these are very faint, but you can see them when you tilt the book 'just so'.
There is a department store sticker attached to the inside of the last page.
There is a bookplate attached to the inside front board that has no writing on it. It reads: "This Book is the Property of the State of _________________."

Included are 47 Chapters, 80 pages of Supplementary Exercises, and a 9-page Index.
What follows is verbatim, from the book's front matter:

___The writing of texts which will adequately meet the varied requirements of bookkeeping students in a peculiarly difficult task.
The text used should be in conformity with the most modern and accepted procedures and principles of accounting. It should be adequate to acquaint students with the conduct of affairs in the world of business. It should enable them to keep records of their personal finances, to earn a living as a bookkeeper, to interpret financial and operating statements of small and large businesses intelligently, and to have a clear conception of the basic accounting principles which govern asset valuations and income determinations.
___To meet these requirements in one text is not easy. I believe that the Zelliot-Leidner books succeed in doing it.
___To be wholly practical and immediately useful, a bookkeeping text should relate principles and procedures to the affairs of the student's world, as well as to the world of larger business affairs. The authors have done this in the text matter, the illustrations, and the assignments.
___Each new text book in any field should make some contribution to the pedagogy of the subject. Teachers of this text will observe that the authors have made several such contributions--among them, the unique approach in the first chapters.
___I wish that the Zelliot-Zeidner books has been available when I was a teacher of bookkeeping.
