This listing is for a unique and eye catching dress. The dress has a vintage automotive theme on the front of it, with old cars and what looks like wheel spokes. There is a signature in the corner of the design, near the bottom of the dress, which looks like Giacomo. I am not sure of the age of the dress. The back of the dress is plain, with no automotive designs. I posted about this dress on the eCRATER boards, and one of the posters who appears to be very knowledgeable said that the design is most likely screen printed. Evidently, the signature would be printed on the fabric as well, rather than being an original signature on the dress. None the less, the quality of the dress does not appear to be of the quality of a dress that would have been mass produced, in my opinion. There are no labels at all in this dress, either showing manufacturer, size or fiber content. The dress is definitely a very small size. The approximate measurement across the front of the vest, from underarm to underarm, is approximately 19.5 inches, so this is a very small dress. The dress looks like it would be form fitting. The dress has front bust darts. The dress slips over the head; there are no zippers, or other openings in the dress. The dress looks like it is very well constructed. The hem of the dress, as well as the sleeve hems appear to be hand stitched. The inside of the neckline also appears to have hand stitching on it. The outside fabric appears to be a linen type fabric. The dress is lined, in some kind of a silky fabric. I do not know if this fabric is silk, or a synthetic material. The hem of the lining is stitched by machine. The sleeves are not lined. The dress is wrinkled, and will need to be steamed or pressed. I believe the dress has ¾ length sleeves. The approximate measurement of the length of the sleeves, from the underarm seam to the hem of the sleeve is approximately 11.5 inches. Please take note that this dress does have some soiled areas on the back of each sleeve, which I think are around the elbow areas. I have included photographs of the back of each sleeve showing the soiled areas, but don’t know how well it will show. Please take note of this and do not buy if it is a concern.
