Description of the Map.
This one of a kind and very scarce uncolored map of St. Thomas depicts some of the the names of landowners and the names of the sugar estates / plantations. It shows the town of Taphus (Charlotte Amalia / Amalie) and Water Island (at that time Estate Orkanhullet / Hassel Island was not an island). Cruz Bay, on the western end of St. John / St. Jan is visible. The map is adorned by a compass rose and a cartouche. This map is a must for any St. Thomian, genealogist, historian, or St. Thomas lover! A Saint Thomas map of incredible history!
