This is a unique and beautiful ornament "Fairy Flying" from Christmas Traditions. The tag says it is 13" long. It is posable.
She is dressed in a woodland syle outfit and is carrying a floral garland. Her hair is soft and made of something like wool roving, although I don't think it is wool.
Everything about this fairy is beautiful and artsy. She reminds me of a ballerina in one of the more unusual ballets.
Her wings are big and covered with very sparkly glitter, they are olive green and gold.
Her feet have little woodland slippers that look like flower pods.
Her garland has frosted fruit and tiny pine cones.
She has on faux suede pantaloons and a netted skirt over it and then a filmy irridescent overskirt. The bodice and sleeves are faux suede. The overskirt has deliberate holes made in it to add to the rustic and woodsy look of this ornament.
The colors are soft and muted, the colors of nature.
The face and limbs are made of plastic or some type of resin. The features are very sweet and delicate. The body has a wire armature for posing.
The original tag is attached. It has some areas missing.
It has a European look about it.
If you were looking for a fairy for your Christmas tree, this is certainly one to consider.
And if you collect fairies, this is one you will treasure.
