SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - Bay Area Ridge Trail - 1991 Pocket Trail Guides (12)

Description: Here's a very nice group of 12 pocket-size trail guides for the Bay Area Ridge Trail, which is actually a system of trails circumnavigating the San Francisco Bay in California. Each guide is devoted to one section of the trail and is laid out in roughly the same format, including a map of that section, a description of its characteristics, specific rules, amenities, etc. Examples of 3 of the guides are shown in the photos.

I don't know if these 12 comprise the complete set for the entire trail system, but it seems likely. The sections covered (in no particular order) are: Benicia/Vallejo Waterfront Trail, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, Skyline Trail (from Wunderlich County Park to Huddart County Park), Fort Funston to Stern Grove, Windy Hill Open Space Preserve, Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve, Anthony Chabot Regional Park, Redwood Regional Park & Anthony Chabot Regional Park, Skyline Trail (through Sanborn-Skyline and Castle Rock Parks to Saratoga Gap), Santa Teresa County Park & Los Alamitos / Calico Creek City Trails, Saratoga Gap to Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve, and Skyline Wilderness Park Skyline Trail.

The guides were published by the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council.

Condition: Excellent, I'd say. These guides don't appear to show any evidence of use. One of the guides has a somewhat rumpled corner, but I didn't see any other creases, tears, or extraneous markings. (Please see photos.)
