Detective Comics # 563 - June 1986 - NM/NM+!! "Free Faces" is by Doug Moench, Gene Colan and Bob Smith, as Two-Face breaks out of Arkham Asylum with the help of a mesmerized lawyer! He resumes his criminal activities while Batman and Catwoman go out and patrol the night city, hoping to capture the last remaining members of the False Face Society! GREEN ARROW stars in ""Winner and Still Champion" as he has a run-in with Champion! Black Canary figures out that Steelclaw is Mayor Bolt!

""Double Crosses" sees Circe, the former model who had her face disfigured by Black Mask, pretends to use Two-Face to gain her revenge, but in reality, she is trying to set him up for a plan deviced by Batman to reactivate his good side! Green Arrow and Black Canary go to Bolt's house to prevent such an occurrence, but Bolt becomes Steelclaw and fells Black Canary, while Green Arrow is blasted by a booby trap within Bolt's mansion.
Detective Comics # 571 - Feb. 1987 - NM-! "Fear for $ale" sees Batman & Robin taking on a newer and deadlier Scarecrow! Quote: "I'm afraid you're in no condition to drive, Batman -- So this dart... will serve as a little pick-me-up!" The Scarecrow!
Detective Comics # 572 - March 1987 - NM/MINT! Giant-Sized 50th Anniversary Issue!! The story, "The Doomsday Book" opens with veteran Detective Slam Bradley Christmas drinking alone in a Gotham City bar, then gets attacked by two men! He there is a connection between the goons who attacked him and the I.R.A.. He visits every Irish pub in Gotham, and saves a woman named woman reveals that her name is Mary Watson... and her fiancé's name is not Thomas Morgan, it's Thomas Moriarty! Meanwhile, Elongated Man is visiting London with his wife Sue Dibny on vacation. He decides to visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221B Baker Street, and he's surprised to see someone shooting at a figure in the window and finds the museum's caretaker Richard Waid has been shot using an "air gun." Slam Bradley and Mary Watson arrive just in time to put out the fire and save Elongated Man. They recover the manuscript, which was hidden in Holmes' gasogene. Elongated Man reasons it must contain a clue to Moriarty's plan! An old case of the great Sherlock Holmes is incovered...as Batman and Robin arrive in London, where they meet up with Elongated Man and Slam Bradley. Batman explains that he has gathered information and he believes Moriarty is attempting to assassinate the Queen. Robin informs Batman that Alfred called with a message from an unknown caller, but Batman says he has no time for this. That night the Queen is supposed to dedicate Grimsby Castle Museum, and then later receive a newly compiled edition of "The Doomsday Book", so The heroes go to save the Queen...but the real hero trips Foxborough as he tries to run away, but he is tripped by an elderly man. Batman is shocked to see that this man is none other than Sherlock Holmes himself. Outside, the elderly Holmes explains that he has survived the last 100 years through a proper diet and the atmosphere of his home in Tibet - and giving up smoking, as he explains when Batman offers to light his pipe, which Holmes now says is just for show! This issue includes a poster drawn by legendary Batman artist Dick Sprang! The five chapters in this book have five different art teams!

Bruce arranges for Schuyler to get employment at the Wayne Foundation so the ex-con will never again feel driven to such extremes to provide for his family!
