Vintage Butterfly Brooch or Pin with Single Pearl
Description: Here's a very pretty, small and simple vintage brooch in the shape of a green butterfly. In the center is mounted what appears to be a small pearl. (However, I'm not a jewelry expert, so I really can't say if the pearl is real or imitation.) The butterfly's wings appear to be some sort of acrylic, held in a shiny gold-colored base. I don't know what the metal is, since there are no markings of any kind on the piece.
Actual Size: approx. 1.625"W x .75"H
Maker: Not identified.
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The brooch doesn't appear to show any signs of wear, although the butterfly's body below the pearl is slightly tarnished. The pin and catch work smoothly and easily. (Please see photos.)
