The PHANTOM # 69 - Feb. 1976 - FN+/VF - Don Newton Painted Cover!!
This 69th Issue from the Charlton Comics 1969 Series kicks off with an Incredible Don Newton Painted Cover featuring The Ghost who walks in a cave full of Treasure!
This is in VF condition with all pages complete!
"The Shining City" is a 23 page Action-Packed story by Joe Gill, Demetrio Sanchez on Pencils and Inks and Letterer Ray Burzon, as The Phantom meets with Athena Siossi, the deadliest Female in the world, who wants the secret riches of Bengali--and The Phantom! He also has to take on Poisonous Snakes and a deadly wild Tiger, as well! "The Immortal Ghost of Bengali" is a one page text story!
NCREDIBLE HULK # 189 - July 1975 - "None Are So Blind...!" is by Len Wein, Herb Trimpe, Joe Staton, Glynis Wein and Artie Simek, as after his battle with The Gremlin and lost in the Russian wilderness. He stops when he hears beautiful singing, drawn to the voice the Hulk comes across a little girl named Katrina who is startled at the sound of his arrival at first, but makes to be friendly toward him. The Hulk soon realizes that she cannot see what he looks like because she is actually blind! " Katrina must not see Hulk! Hulk is big ... ugly!"! Hulk is then ambushed by The Mole Man's Moloids!
The Mole Man reveals that he has stolen Sergi's sight restoring formula to use to cure his own lost vision...The Hulk becomes furious that his friend Katrina is going to have the gift of sight robbed from her and breaks free from his restrains. Easily over-powering the Mole Man, the Hulk takes the serum and fights his way through the Moloids. Back at the village they give it to Katrina, who's sight is restored. Insecure about how Katerina would see him, the Hulk is surprised when she doesn't see him as a monster, but as a kindly giant man. She hugs him and calls him beautiful and tells him that he is loved! When Sergi and Katerina invite the Hulk to stay and live in their village, the Hulk, not believing Katerina's kind words declines. As he walks away from the village, the Hulk considers himself a monster and bursts into tears...!
SHAZAM! # 24 - DC Comics - Nov.-Dec. 1974!
"Sivana Saves Captain Marvel!" is by Otto Binder, Pencils and Inks by C. C. Beck, as Dr. Sivana traps Billy with paralyzing gas and leaves him in outer space, unable to change to Captain Marvel. But when he discovers the Azpaks have taken over the world and want to kill him, Sivana is forced to rescue Billy to help destroy the Azpaks! Next is "In the Days of Robin Hood!" starring Captain Marvel Jr. by Bud Thompson, who did everything, as Freddy Freeman is magically summoned into the past by his ancestor to help him rescue Robin Hood and his Merry Men from the Earl of Nottingham! Reprinted from Captain Marvel Jr. (Fawcett, 1942 series) #118 (April 1953)!
