PARK RIDGE, ILLINOIS - 1969 Chamber of Commerce Guide Book
Description: Here's a wonderful vintage guide book to Park Ridge, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It was published by the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce. In addition to a detailed centerfold map, it has sections that address the city government and its services, the history of the city and its flag, utilities, transportation services, shopping, hospitals, the library, its parks and schools (both public and private), service clubs, and churches. There's also a Chamber of Commerce business and professional directory that covers 6 pages.
One historical factoid not mentioned in the booklet is that this is the town where Hillary Rodham Clinton spent her formative years in the 1950s and '60s (as a dedicated Republican)!
Copyright: 1969
Size: 48 pages - approx. 9" x 6"
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The front cover is just lightly soiled, but the back cover has a small stain near the top. The interior pages are fresh and clean, just like new. (Please see photos for a representative sampling of pages.)
**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
