The Golden Midget Watermelon is a open pollinated variety that does great in sun and shade areas. This variety will grow on a small compact plant we have grown them in #7 pots and they produce well. These are a great watermelon for small gardens or patio areas. The melons will be about 8” across and weight about 2 to 3 pounds. The Golden Midget Watermelon has a great crisp flavor when ripe. It starts out a green rind then when ripe turns to a bright golden yellow the flesh is a bright red. This will take about 60 days to harvest.
