What is octenisept® wound gel and what is it used for?
Wound gel octenisept® is used for acute skin injuries: abrasions,
cuts and minor burns (e.g. sunburn).
In order for wounds to heal quickly, they need a sufficient amount of moisture. Skin cell division and movement must occur during healing. The best conditions for this are a moist wound environment. The wound should also be protected from infection.
The special composition of octenisept® wound gel optimally moisturizes the wound and forms a protective layer against bacteria. This layer of gel does not allow bacteria to penetrate into the wound, because they are already neutralized in the gel. Therefore, octenisept® wound gel protects against (new) infections and inflammation. This promotes faster natural healing of the wound.
Wound gel octenisept® is colorless and does not sting when applied.
How to use octenisept® wound gel?
In case of injury, immediately disinfect the wound with octenisept® wound disinfectant.
Then apply a thin layer of gel to the wound. If necessary, apply a bandage or plaster over the wound. Apply the wound gel 1-2 times daily until the wound is completely healed. For hygiene reasons, do not touch the tip of the gel tube to the wound or other surfaces.
What are the possible side effects?
So far, no side effects of octenisept® wound gel have been observed.
What should you pay attention to when using octenisept® wound gel?
Since the possibility of allergies can never be ruled out, octenisept® wound gel should not be used if you are allergic or if you suspect that you may be allergic to one of its ingredients. Wound gel octenisept® must not be mixed with other wound cleaning soaps, ointments, oils or enzymes.
For external use only to treat skin wounds. It is important to apply the product without pressing,
to prevent it from getting into the tissues. Do not use for infusions and injections. Do not swallow. Do not apply to hyaline cartilage. Use only neat and undamaged packaging.
Where to store octenisept® wound gel?
Keep the tube out of direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children!
