This pair of planters is from Ucagco. One is a Chinese girl and one is a Spanish girl. Both planters are made of ceramic. Both planters appear to be handpainted.
The Chinese girl is dressed in a pink top with aqua trim. There are purple and aqua dots on the top. Her pants are pale green with pink dots. On her head she wears a wide-brimmed straw hat.
The Spanish girl is dressed in a yellow top with a pink bandeau. The top has ruffled purple sleeves. She has dark purple beads around her neck. She has a blue belt. Her skirt is pale green with small pink dots and a pink underskirt. On her head is a large brown bowl.
The planters are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is very slight wear to the paint on both planters.
Both planters are marked on the bottom with the Ucagco logo and the words, "Ucagco China Made in Occupied Japan" in red ink.
The Chinese planter measures approximately 4 ¾ inches tall, 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. The Spanish planter measures approximately 5 inches tall, 4 inches long and 2 ½ inches wide. Together the planters weigh just under one pound unpacked.
