Super quirky vintage 1950s (these were my Mom’s from when she was a kid in the 50s) children's safety electric scissors called SNIPPY and are shaped and detailed like a fish in red/maroon plastic with metal blades. These are made to cut paper so should be used only as intended. It plugs into a two prong outlet and has been tested for use and is in working order, cutting paper easily. The original instructions said: “SNIPPY is fun for cutting cereal boxes, paper dolls, coloring and cutout books. Use SNIPPY to make decorations, party favors, costumes, masks, Valentines, greeting cards, etc. Just plug SNIPPY in, push down on the switch and guide blades into paper. Be sure to hold SNIPPY upright as tilting clogs blades. Thickness of paper will determine cutting speed. Keep blades clean and dry. Do not oil. Should blades become clogged, remove paper carefully without prying blades apart as this will damage them.”

Included is a copy of the original Ad for this and some cute cut-out illustrations of a lion and robot that I printed out so you can try the scissors out on.

Vintage Condition: VG/No damage or scratches on plastic. Still has a nice shine. Cord is VG and everything worked fine easily cutting the paper when it was tested. In amazing condition for being over 60 years old. This does not come with box. Box is shown in photos for reference only as stated above.
